Go to start-Settings-Control panel-ease of access center-make the mouse easier to use-uncheck activate a window by hovering over it (I think)

Good luck

Are you using a wired or wireless mouse or is it a mousepad?

I thought so, I had a similar problem with my old advent, it is all about sensitivity, I think you can change the settings. If it is practical you would be better off investing in a wireless mouse, I have one on my vaio and it works far better than the touchpad.

Regards
