I initially bought an alba freeview box, model STB1XI. The adapter gave up on me, so i tried phoning alba for a replacement plug. They wanted £25 for a replacement plug. The box was only £15, so no chance! I bought a second box, and its happened again. After searching the net, i have found out its a poor model, many others having the same problem. To replace both boxes (!) I have now bought a matsui MSTB926 model. Strangely it has the exact same design for the remote and on screen.. not a good sign! The problem i have now is that the sound is awful when through the multi scart adapter i need to use so the dvd player and digibox are connected. Does anyone know how i can fix the problem? The alba boxes had no such problem through the same multi scart adapter.. is it just a case of a cheap box with a poor output? I may have to take it back and try another.. thanks for any info on how i can fix this, if possible... changing scart every time i wish to watch a dvd will ruin the scart plugs after a short period of use.. so i really need them to run properly through the multi scart. I have tried more than one multi scart but this freeview boxes audio comes out very distorted unless its connected straight to the tv
