v+ box & return path is on using 50db filter

got my hands on a sa8300 v+ box.
I added a 50db noise blocker but it still says "Return path is ON".
I tested my noise blocker on my subbed box & it works fine,it was on my subbed box for a few hours for testing purposes.

these 50db noise blockers work with the v+ box? silly question as iv read they do but just curious about the sa8300 model.

Iv just took the feed out of the back of the box & it still says return path is on,lol

sa8300 , I got this from my own area so all i had to do was make a fun card & add noise blocker. One problem though is the PIN number ,have you any idea how to set it mate without lifting chips ect?

& will any V+model remote controller work with the sa8300 model anyone?

I had the same problem with the pin number and had to guess it on 2 boxes, holding standbye and ok forces update but dont know if it will reset pin and it may upset net id if your not in pure, i didnt know that to try when i did them.
Any V+ remote should work, they are different to normal ones, pvr extra buttons etc.

im in pure red, i done what you said but pin just stayed **** in eng-menu. Good news though,after trying all obvious codes for the last twelve hours ,looking through threads,forums ect. Anyway i just tried 4321 & it worked,is that a obvious one,lol? hehe im all sorted , hehe.

it would be still nice to know though.

to reset pin or read pin the eeprom 512 has to be lifted and read through tbc eeprom editor so dont go losing or blocking your pin code if you cannot lift chips

so what does it mean when the online light keeps flashing,
does it only do this when tb is disabled?

also how far back can you rewind these boxes or how long can they pause for?
i forgot to check before i got rid of the one i had,i had no remote anyway

when the light is flashing it means tb is trying to conect. and you can rewind up to 90 mins as long as the station you have been whatching has been selected for 90mins

thanks rawsy , i think i might just stick with my philips-dvd-harddrive-recorder as i can rewind for up to 6hours,i got it a few years ago though so i thought these v+ boxes would have rewinded alittle longer than 90mins. 6 hours is a little long though but its handy if your out & you just leave it on paramount or set reminders or something,it give you something to watch if your up in the we hours of the morning
