After a year of quality entertainment my Starview2 : The Box seems to have gone kaput. Ive tried resetting it to factory settings, updating to latest firmware and have turned emo off but its just not working.
When I scan, I get between 70-120 channels, half of which dont work. I used to get 150 +. Im missing all the movie channels, setanta sports 1 etc etc. Some channels will appear when I scan, but just show black when I actually go to them. We have 2 cable outlets in the house and I pick up different channels depending on which I connect the box to, which is strange. Anyway, Im going to buy another box. My question is, should I go for the Starview 3 (4 is out of my price range) or is there an alternate box that is better/cheaper ? If yea could reccomend a site that would be great also. I'm based in Dublin. |

This sounds like a signal problem, my m8 had the same and found out to be a faulty splitter, when i factory reset his box and did auto scan etc at my house the box was working perfect, and when he got it home, identical problem to yours. If you are still to invest in a new box then if its price range that your looking for then there is one or two good boxes under £100. Starview 3 from ***.cableandsat.co.uk, Kryptview Arnet from ***.tailor-madecircuits.com/shop/. But in my opinion i would strech the purse and go for the New Starview 4 box from Wizard Satellite, Satellite receivers, dishes, lnbs and equipment this is the newest box in the starview range , but like i say this is my opinion only on these selection of dealers, and other members might have their own...jay

if you have 2 feeds you must have a splitter run a direct feed from the box that comes into your house to your box disconecting other cabeles then do a scan as instucted
