Default offset LNB s

hi
I ve got a big dish 1.25 mmetres that
I think is on 19 E astra

am I right in saying that the 3 main
sats are

13E (Hotbird)
19.2E (Astra1)
28.2E/28.5E ( Astra2/Eurobird1).

maybe my big dish is on astra 19 E ?
Im getting sky news
cnn
euro news
al jazeera
zdf theatre
zdf documentary
kabel etc
Im not getting any bbc or itv stuff on the big satellite

but if thats right, what is my small dish on that gets all the bbc stuff ?

maybe I should get an offset lnb on the big dish to pick up 13 E hotbird ?

Im thinking of getting one or two LNB s offset on my big dish
to pick up say two more satellites
any advice on what sats to go for ?

will each lnb need a separate cable ?

thanks for any advice

Yes I think your big dish is on 19e. Your small dish is pointing at 28.2e.

You could add extra lnb`s to your 1.2m dish, but getting a holder to fit may be a problem. Do you know the make of it?

The cable from the lnbs is connected to a diseq switch, then only one cable is fed to your receiver.

A good selection would be 28e,16e,19e,13e and 1w. All could be fitted to your 1.2m dish.

Any 40mm universal lnb will be ok to use on your dish

thanks for the advice,

thanks for the advice
I ll have to try and find someone who can fit
the offset LNBs
my dish is a channel master

its on a metal post and bolted to a concrete flag and that
is just resting on the concrete patio so its a bit rough and ready
but Im gettin great pics from 19 E

i DARE say that with the new additional LNBs Im going to need
a new box that will switch between them

If you are using a regular receiver (i.e. non-sky), you should not need a new box to switch between LNBs. What you will need is a small piece of kit called a diseqc switch (only just bigger than a matchbox) for about £5.
