Default MythTV boot time?

How long does mythtv take to boot up?

I know this is system dependent but what are your experiences with this program?

Default Re: MythTV boot time?

My 2.4GHz Athlon 64 myth system, based ontop of Ubuntu 8.04 takes 1m55s from starting to boot (ie after the BIOS screen) to the main myth menu.

About a minute of this is booting Ubuntu, then there's another minute waiting for X, the backend and everything else to start up.

This is all a bit hacked together by me, so I don't know if it's representative of most myth systems, I suspect Mythbuntu will probably start up a lot quicker.
