Default Passion+ & Ch4 HD

I recently bought a Passion+ for HD viewing.
I updated the firmware and got it set up for BBC HD, Itv HD and Luxe TV without problems.
I have a Technomate FTA reciever in the bedroom for feed hunting etc. with Dragon CAM fitted which I occasionally use to transfer my viewing card from the Sky+ in my lounge to carry on watching something in bed.
Because this happens so rarely I decided to transfer the CAM to the Passion+ to give Channel 4 HD a go as it is a Free to View channel and ought to work without the extra £10 a month that Sky ask for.
Now here's the odd thing, all the SD channels unscramble perfectly but Ch.4 HD with the card inserted has sound but no picture, so the channel appears to be decrypting.
The on screen banner displays it as a 1080i channel and the CAM information says NDS card inserted, descarmbling.
I have checked the APID & VPID settings for this channel and as far as I can tell they are correct.
Anyone else have any ideas?

When I select CH4 HD, the Passion HD box reboots, every time.

Weird !!! Mine has never done that. The only time my Passion box reboots is when I've been deleting a few channels off the memory that I don't need/watch. But I think that's normal.
I even recorded 'WOLF' last night on the timer, and to my knowledge it worked fine.

Wouldn't be another one of those Maplins' bought receivers would it?

Q: Are you putting your S*y viewing card in the CAM when selecting Ch4 HD? You will need to.

Is it Maplins because I have been saving up to replace mine.It does all sorts of weird things! It reboots after a scan on 1W no matter what I have tried.Another one is losing all the satellite positions.I could not open channel 4 HD with a up to date sly card in my diablo but worked fine in a mates.

Mine did it a few weeks ago, and I thought it was a one-off, but yesterday I tried it again, and bang, soon as I try and select ch4hd it reboots. I'm not that bothered, never watch channel4 anyway

Indeed it is a Maplin "special", though to be fair, it's been ok, and the picture is excellent. I am thinking of treating myself to a shiny TM 6900 though, if I can find a half decent channel editor for it.

no, didn't realise I needed to, though I do remember they are still under contract with $ky.
