Setup: Please Help

I purchased the EuroVox EX5000 PVR without hard drive the other day and cannot get it to display channels. I received instructions with this box and have followed them exactly but nothing is happening.

I was instructed to download UFL_ex5000_1.1a.exe file, however this was not present and I ended up downloading the 15-07-08.exe file instead.

I had no problem installing the software on the box through the R232 cable, however after this I am having serious problems.

I have followed the instructions given with the Box but cannot seem to get channels setup. I accept factory settings, enter a Symbol Rate of 6875, apparently this is for Chorus Ireland and then kick off the process. It scans and scans, I actually see the quality and levels, some are low and some are high. However, no matter what I do I end up on the user installation screen, with the quality bar processing back and forth. This is as far as it gets. It never moves any further. Can somebody please advise as to what I am doing wrong. Incidentally I am in Tipperary, Ireland and am using Chorus digital.

when you open the file for the 1.1A you get a box that pops up with the EX5000 PVR logo underneath that their is a download button just press it and it will do the job

when u flash, u have to re scan, OR upload a cdf file mate

From your location some parts are Chorus MMDS and so your particular box wont work. You need a DVB T device, e.g Eurovox TX, the Box T, etc.

Do you have a mesh aerial on your roof? If not where are you in Tipperary?
