Default sky customer

Upgrading to sky-plus,would i be able to use old box in another room?Also sky offering plus box for 49euro for new customers,149euro for myself,any way round this,thanks,Michael1 (ireland)

Yes, as long as a quad LNB is fitted, a third cable would need to run to the alternative location.

You need a FTA card though. As the old box will be missing a card.

As for the price. The only way is to pretend you are cancelling. Push hard until you get to the cancellations department. They can authorise the discount. Customer Services can't. If that fails cancel, and start a new acccount in someone elses name. Although I don't think they check to thoroughly, so may even be able to use your own name.

For the full subscription channels, sign up for mult-room, I think it's a tenna a month, else it will work just as FTA. Or with a FreesatfromSky card, also FTV. Multiroom requires a telephone connection to both boxes, if you disconnect it they charge you double subs!
