Default A bit of advice before I buy

Hi all, this is my first post Ive read loads on this site and think i know what I'm doing, my son has just broadband from virgin so i hoping to buy him a Eurovox as an early Xmas present (he's disabled and on very low income)and set it up for him
Could you advise which model will be the easiest to setup and do i need a two way or three way splitter, are the instructions simple? i'll do my best but not that good with tv stuff.
A link would be handy as to which i should buy.
Thank you so much
Susan

probably better to post in the eurovox section, not the modem section....a kind mod may move it 4 u.....
there are other box options such as a dbox2 or dreambox but i'm sure someone who knows about the eurovox will advise

i got a eurovox in 2006 & it was so easy to set up,its prob even easier now days.
all i had to do was connect it up & read the instructions, the instructions all fitted on one page & were very clear.

you will need a two way splitter, about two meters(Depending how close the box is to the splitter) of coax with f connectors attached to each end. Everything else you need will more likely be supplied with the box.

If the box isnt preflashed then you will have to do that yourself, very very very easy to do,we will cross that bridge if we come to it.
if it does need flashed then you will need a 9pin-rs232-port on your PC , if you dont have one then you will need to get a rs232-usb-serial-adapter(About £5)

try lincast, he very helpful & reliable
