Default standby quick fix

if this happens and the c14 copacitor hasnt blow here is the a quick fix tested on euro vox red and v max 2008

open box up power up box unplug main lead from mother bored and ul notice power has gone off!
plug back in power back on and all is well i had this problem checked copacitor and it was fine so i tryed that after all else failed and worked a treat just for ppl who have this problem saves time and money as the box isnt bricked coz it gets a kick up the ass lol ppl say jtag it and all other methods but try that first n c if it works has done for me every time its stuck on standby... wich seems to be when i turn off by mains n plug it back in again hjope it helps guys if get good feed back prob needs to be sticky

So u basically saying stick ur fingers in the box when theres 240v running through it and yank the motherboard lead out and put it back in...?!

yes obviously be carefull plus if u do it rite there shouldnt be a problem if u find another way by all means go ahead

It rarely is a capacitor fault with red max or max v boxes anyway, dodgy psu to mainboard connections have been known to cause problems, i have had to reflow solder on 2 red maxes on the underside of the mainboard header before. also had to reflow on underside of the display connector once as well. probably down to dry joints but quite rare, usually it will only be needing jtagged if it was flashed with dnupman and firmware rather than a UFL.
