Hi, though not a total newbie, it's a long time since I last dabbled with decryption (Sky series 7 card I think ), but have a few questions relating to the Diablo.
1. Is it possible to put more than one system on it, such as Underworld and something else? I did put Stealth 2.54 on the other night, but lost Underworld, so was wondering if it was possible. 2.Underworld 138/140 both have worked fine, except when watching say Canal Digital on 1w the picture stutters ever few seconds. Oddly, I get the same issue when viewing a channel via my Conax cam on 13e. Removing the Diablo cures that issue. Now it may not be the Diablo causing the issue, but has anyone else come across this? The Diablo was setup using the excellent idiot proof guide from here ;-) Using a Fortec Passion HD tied to a 65cm dish. many thanks P. |

Thanks Mickha, I guessed it was one firmware only. The receiver firmware is currently the latest anyway,so I guess the stuttering is to do with the receiver, and not the Diablo.
Maybe it's time tochange ;-) |

Check if there is sufficient airflow, as the Diablo Cam does run hot, try putting blocks under each corner of the receiver to allow airflow underneath.
Also check with other Fortec owners maybe an older software version works better. You can try older underworld files, like 136, if that works you can always update the data bin file for the conax channels. |

It only "stutters" when viewing decrypted channels,FTA channels are fine. Likewise, using the Conax cam on 13e is ok, providing the Diable isn't in the Passion. It's quite annoying, makes the channels almost unwatchable. I'm currently on Underworld 138, I'll give older versions a try, thanks anyway.

Hi guys,
I also have Fortec Star Passion HD box and have a diablo 2.3 currently loaded with Underworld 1.37. The problems that Flyer describe are also present on my setup, but I would describe mine as a minor but persistent irritation rather than making a channel unwatchable. Obviously I would like to be able to watch the programmes without this picture freeze (stutter) and would welcome any advice. I have only had the diablo for a couple of weeks now and have not yet had to load a newer version of Underworld. All the help pages seem to describe how to set it up from new, how do you manage the software versions that are on it - is it just a case of deleting old version and loading the new ? Thanks, Steve. |

You are better off formatting the cam before loading an earlier version.
Start up the Cas Studio Diablo software, click on the Cam Disk Functions tab and Format, wait until it has finished formatting then switch to the Upgrade Cam tab and load the new underworld file. Check that your receiver has plenty of airflow, as the cam runs quite hot, it's best to raise the receiver, by sticking blocks under each corner, to allow airflow underneath. The only other thing you can try is palying around with all the options in the menu to try to get it working. Check the Internet for other posts on the Fortec Star and see if other owners have found a fix to the problem. |

I have read of an owner with a Humax HD receiver experiencing similar problems, but now has everything working perfectly after loading Underworld 142 and using the bottom CI slot in his receiver.
If experiencing problems try formatting the Cam before loading a new Underworld file. Hopefully either Fortec Star, or Duolabs, will resolve this problem with a new software release. |
