Once in toolbox i try to drive dump(GDR only) and it keeps coming up with an error. "Cannot read from drive" any ideas? everything up to that point worked fine. thanks in advance

Try the "RAW Dump" option or failing that, use the classic dump. Either way, you will get an original firmware dump to work from

what type of drive yu trying 2 flash? (BENQ, HITACHI, ETC)

try another sata port and unplug all drives which are not needed if still having problems check your sata drivers

He's trying to do a Hitachi Crash 'N' Burn. The GDR mentions in his post is for Hitachi and it is the only drive flashable in Windows. All the others need to be done in DOS.

Why you don't need modchip for 360.

thats not entirely correct.he says he selects dump (gdr only)

probable causes are:could be incorrect sata port,wrong bios setup or if it is an hitachi could be a 79 and he didnt unlock it.then it might not be an hitachi and he is wasting his time.

also samsung and benq are flashable in windows with dosflash32 and i suspect so will liteon once the ixtreme1.5 fw and flashing package is released.

When is iXtreme 1.5 due to be released? C4eva has done a great job so far with the Lite-On modding so we should have something solid pretty soon
