Default pointing in the right direction

Hi all, just after some advice before i try my first modem, im in pure ntl and was wondering which would be my best choice of modem for me to have a go at first and what equipment.

id go for the motorola sb5100i as you only need 1 file to dump on there then your done

i wood go for a 250/255 (both use the same files ) cus there is more info on them and u need a max 232 get it on ebay for about £12.50 or so

Hi, i have an NTL 250 modem but was wondering if you could point me the direction of the configuration software? i have got AmbitConfig.92 which is good for changing the macs. Is there any other suggested sofware?

I would also like to know how to change the serial on the modem too?
