Default changing macs when throttled?

Hey guys,

Sure you're all busy and this isn't that important so I'll keep it short. Basically, if one is downloading a large torrent and gets throttled, would it be possible to change the MAC and config of the modem to get around the throttling?

If so, would this flag up on the ISPs server?

Cheers guys
