Default Do you need a subscription.

Hello everybody.

This is going to be a long one!!!

We have just moved house and decided we would have sky installed, instead of cable, but we are unable to get sky due to trees in the bloody way!!!!! We had cable at the last house, and I took my cable box and broadband boxes with me. The arial reception in this area is Crap as well, so i plugged the cable box in to the exsisting cable line and (bobs your uncle) it work. Two weeks later it was knock off by virgin, and we can only get the minimum free channels.

I have just ordered the starview 4 and was wondering do you need a subscription to get some quality channels, or will it be a waste of money?

Cheers to anyone who can let us know.

providing you have a live feed and the correct firmware on your box the answer is yes, remembering it is illegal to connect the cable to these boxes

cheers smoggy,

That will do for me!! when i left the other house virgin wanted £230 for the 6 month remaining on the contract, I asked them to transfer it to this house and carry on with the payments but they said NO!!!! you need to pay the six month up at the old house and the start again. so i told them to ( you know $^&" off) so if this dont work we are watching dvds over xmas!!!

thanks buddy.
