Good evening all.....i've recently joined as i'm hitting a brick wall whilst J-Tagging a Pace 4001 for the first time an hopefully someone can help. I'll try and give as much info as possible as i'm lost beyond belief with it all lol.
PC Setup: Mini-Itx with an PCI parallel port fitted and set to legacy P&P in Device Manager. Bios set to ECP + EPP 1.7 as advised on Techwatch. Jtag Setup: Pogo Jtag from fleet computers, with interchangeable ends for Sammy / Pace. I have an extension lead but whether this is fitted or the unit is fitted directly to the PC it gives the same error. Scenario: I plug box into feed and power (3.6 System Software). Open BKE 2.2 and get Mac_Mot running. Press pogo pins in place and click connect. Instantly i get the error 43 target connetion etc... error!. I've read the forums like a book but nothing seems to make it work. Weirdly if i click "Connect" again without clicking on the error box, the icon goes green and the BK / IRD go to 202020.... Any help is greatly appreciated as i feel like i've just wasted money on this kit and more to the point, hate getting defeated by something like this lol! |

Are you using the correct bytes for your area (Pure, Ex C & W, TW)? Also, did you select the correct radio button for your box (Davic, Ex C & W)?

Bytes on a Pace are fixed and thus irrelevant.
Are you on the set near the red jumper and not at the box rear? I trust 4001 is a misprint, lol, as they have no jtag points. |

Realised the error once posted...yeah it's the 4010. I use the most recent bytes for 3.6, on config 1 with the Pace option selected. Wish everything was as easy as the 4001....Flashtesters are so easy to use!
It doesn't seem to be an error with the bytes i don't think as it gives the error 43 no matter what |

Quick question....Does anyone live in the North East of England that would be able to test the JTag as a huge favour? It's always worth a chance....PM me if you can help.
Thanks in advance |

Think thats just a bad connection problem, have you tried cleaning the points, or tinning with solder, you dont use sammy bytes with a 4010, just use the byte that is in the config.
