would a 40cm minidish have the picture quality as my 80cm dish as im in the south of ireland does it make a difference?

As long as you got a good lock on the satellite, yes the pic quality would be the same, as it is digital.

The problem comes when it hisses it down, if the dish is too small, you get picture break up and possibly complete loss.

I don't know what the dish requirements are for Sky in Ireland, not sure if your'e in a zone 1 or a zone 2 area. Best to always at least have the recommended minimum for your area, be it zone 1 or zone 2.

im in the south of ireland and only needs a 40cm dish

lets say if you drew a line from Wexford 2 Clare then everywhere over the line needs a 60cm dish

like i said i might only get another dish if i decide to setup in another room

im wondering how does that work,because if i had the motor and fixed dish and a switch would it confuse the reciever

like i was told that you could not have a monoblock and a lnb working off the same reciever because the two switches would confuse the reciever or something like that!

would the motor be like a switch or is it technically just another lnb?
