Default New UR14 anyone tried it ?

Just asking if anyone has tried this image yet? just wondering how it compares to Andromeda. better, worse? worth changing to?
i remember when i tried UR13 it didn't like my motor, wonder if 14 will be the same?

Cheers, Red

I don't find much difference between the 2 on my TM9100 Super in all honesty. I find UR14 more colourful to look at and it has the usual things in the usual places

Andromeda on the other hand was very fast at clearing emus and was very stable but its just too boring for my liking which is why i changed over to UR14

I also found having to manually install the emus a little annoying on Andromeda which was another reason why i went back to UR

On the motor front i never had a problem with the motor on my TM9100S with either image

If i remember Red i think your receiver had UR11 on it when i sold it to you which i didn't have a huge problem with running the motor.

The motor did sometimes go off on a little wonder every now and then, which was sorted out with a reboot. I think at the end of the day its all dependent on the type of motor aswell as the image. I used it with a Technomate SG2200 motor

Thanks for the reply Nano i have a stab hh90 motor and i think it might be this that is the problem on the motor side of things,
i seem to remember other folks reporting problems that had the same motor.

All the same i think i will give UR14 a go. Like you say the andromeda image is pretty stable and has given me no reason for complaint although its not the most user friendly if you want to install any other bits and bobs. especialy to a pc nonwizz like me. (i just made that word up).

how did you install the image? did you use TCC7 or did you use a different method?

Well i know what im gonna be doing this weekend, if you hear a big bang in the distance you will know i got it wrong ...

cheers, Red

I used TCC6.1 as i had problems with the box rejecting the image with TCC7. It was the usual "not for this box" message

If you register over at the link below you will find the necessary files you need for your TM9100. I more or less look after the Technomate section over there so thats where i stick the relevant files

Don't forget to introduce yourself again though
