Audio Output on Pace 4000?

I have a Pace 4000 which as most of you will know, has no separate Audio outputs (the 2000 has L+R Audio phono outputs and the Sammy has an Optical Output).

My problem is that I use a monitor for my viewing and I have the Scart from the stb connected to a RGB-to-VGA converter which is then connected to the screen using the VGA connection. This gives me a great picture but no sound! Previously, on a 2000 model I had hooked up the stero outputs from the stb to an AV amplifier and got sound thro the amp.

Question: what's the best way to re-wire (re-cable) to get sound from the 4000 model to an amp? I gather that Pins 1 and 3 on a scart provide Right and Left audio and i tried to connect 2 Phono's from these pins but no joy. I must have done something wrong. Any experts on AV connectivity ? Help appreciated.

You can buy scart to phono adapters on e bay for a few quid, use in top scart socket.
Audio connection on scart is 1 audio out right, 3 audio out left, and 4 is ground for both.
You can add phono outputs to box i havnt got a 4000 handy to look at but on a 4010 at the rear of the board between the scart socket and ethernet are the three points, i think they are similar on 4000.
