Pace 1000

My box keeps trying to go thru an update and then displays the message err4.

I've tried pulling the red jumper, with no joy.

Box will will not connect to libdebug.

Any help appreciated.

Try a forced update, pull red jumper and hold standbye and power on till 0000 on display, then press favourites , interactive, tv guide, tv in that order you should get 4321 then press ok, it should then take the 3.6 update properly.

Just tried it and as the information appears on the TV is stats NetID not set.

problems is when i connect thr rs232 cable to libby, box does not connect as it should and no communication is made?

connect the serial cable, load up libby, then apply power and wait.

Thats excatly what i'm doing but the display does not change from displaying 'Pace'

connect your libby then press tv guide..interactive..tv guide tv...2321 ok you may be able to get the net id in

my m8s 1000 box cheanges from pace>nit>pad>tune>err4 then starts all over again, its been doing that for the last hour any ideas?

sorry for jumping in but im in the same boat.ive tried reflashing the atty's still no joy when i press 4321 i get
ERR4 - PLATFORM COULD NOT BE FOUND

at the end of the flash been taken.

i made a test simm up that allows you to go into the enginners and set the NETID and FREQ but after that it does the same when i replace it ERR4.

i then flashed the 4 chip sim with good dumps , held OK and pressed 1111 which should copy the flash from the sim to the onboard attys but ffs the same !!!ERR4.

so my question is
how the mother of god do i get it to take an update without ERR4 PLATFORM COULD NOT BE FOUND ?.
the only thing i can see is im using any of 2 dumps with both are CR4 and not the latest CR cause its the only TW dump ive got but i know it works fine 100% of that.
its more of a challenge now this as i always thought when it goes into a loop its because the netid aint aint set but mine is .

oh and i have pulled the jumper before thats thrown in the bag as well.
