Default EX5000 channels dropping out

Hey guys, I'm not that much of a newey here but are constantly finding small hickups with the box (leaving box on standby overnight and having to turn it off then on in the morning, some channels dropping out of scamble needing to update channels etc) small price to pay, but moe and more the channels are dropping out intermitently to "bad or no signal", to the point of having to re scan all channels and still not receiving any TP's therefore channels.

In the past I have tried some scanning adjustments and they have always worked and got all channels back, however a cpl of days ago this didn't work.
Cutting a long story short, the box just switched itself off and went dead, with the LCD on the front showing "----" (no channels or time) then I lost even freeview channels and it seemed that the feed went dead. At this stage i plugged the std virg*n box back up and it took it about 13 minutes to overcome the "errors" on the std box and get the freeveiew channels back through the std box to get a picture.

At this stage i disconnected the std box and plugged the ex5000 and re scanned and i got all the channels back like normal - has anyone else had a similar situation?? Is plugging the std box up something that is needed to be done every cpl of months or is it just a freak thing that happens???

ps: this happened friday night just gone, if anyone else had similar problem with the feed?

I had exactly the same problem now for a couple of days. My Max Blue started to switch itself off at night and it took numerous switching on and offs to get it going. Then it wouldn't come on until I had waited about 20 minutes, it is now dead, I cant even flash it, although I think I have waited too long to do this. Maybe switching it on and off alot has knackered the power?

New box time
