Yes it was a pc one i did it with, you can probably get adapters on ebay.

Bought one of these a month or two ago and I now can't think how I ever worked without it!

Plexus USB to IDE 2.5"/ 3.5" Transfer adapter With Power Adaptor - Ebuyer

For £6 you get to be able to take any Hard Drive, plug it straight into the USB and the mains and it shows up as a removal disk, just like a USB stick. So much more simple for me than opening up the PC case and attaching cables to the motherboard/PSU (I'm lazy).
