Default modems gone down?

my modem went of today and have tried 30 diff macs and not working? any ideas? i also changed my mac on my card as well in case it was to do with that

signal problem mate for deffo , if no macs are coming back then its the cable as u need a feed to get any macs what so ever , you sure vm havnt disconected the cable from the hub?

IF you try signing into msn messenger , if you click repair then it should say a problem with deafault gatway or maybe dns or key ports if faulty cable /bad mac.

same here useing a 4200 and 5100 both off in my area but still ok in other ubr.

Two modems I did went off, but one other in the house was ok.

Finally got a couple of working macs from a list that non worked from earlier.
How strange.

Sniffing seems to have brought back all the list of macs okay.

Modem works on the desktop PC, but the laptop that the modem was attached to when
it went down now won't renew the ip correctly. All I get is limited or no connectivity dispite rebooting the modem, disabling and enabling the network device and even uninstalling the network device and rebooting the laptop, its unable to renew the IP.
Last time this happened, I considered it to be a winsock issue. Ran the appropriate fixes and still it never renewed the modems ip and had to reformat!

look under my name mate " ex telewest guy " LOL all my chipped boxes was ok and my legal modem downstairs was ok

but im back up and running
