pmsfl aye they have a scanner shows up millions of addresses with "hacked" gear

no ya rocket why do you think the firmware is called infinite steath its invisable on there system or they would be able to knock them out anytime

as said above they are going to cut any line which no subs are being paid from as there are loads of people using "hacked" boxes without paying any subs

always pay a minimum package this ensures you line stays connected
and also ensures the cable scene is still available

as if no one paid subs there wouldnt be cable end of

Relax.
All they are doing is a cab cleanup.
Its perfectly normal, although they hardly ever do one.
All they are doing is checking which houses have no VM services and cutting their F connector off and looping the cable inside the cab.

They aren't uplifting or removing the cable to your house. That isn't good business sense. Imagine you wanted cable in the future? They would have to add another drop cable at some point costing VM MORE money....

All they are doing is trying to get rid of the ingress from the network to keep it clean.
Something they should be doing every month.
I guess they are taking advantage of the fact they can ask houses if they want services and try to upsell some.

My advice is this, to avoid them cutting off the connector, tell them you are interested in getting their services and get them to explain it and tell them you are going to contact VM and get some services.....Then just don't bother.
Or get basic TV from them, and then there is NO reason for them to come to your house or ask questions about your services.

BTW, has anyone else seen these VM anti-piracy adverts?

LOL....Shop in anyone you know to be using services illegally....LOL

mrcrisp i saw that advert today. I made a thread bout it.
I saw it on Virgin1 saying if you know of any one being a fraud on the virgin media platform give this freephone number a call.
Actually thinking about it. Im getting a little concerned. First putting up that warning message that only boxes such as the Eurovox can pick up and now actual adverts with a freephone number.
All i can say is there trying. And could keep trying their hardest.

P.S. Wooo 300 Posts for me lol. Sorry had a lil moment there xD

You said they went to NEARLY every house on your street except yours and your mates. So whats with the paranoia?

So what if you live in a cul-de-sac? You know who is cabled to there house and who is not, but do you know who is USING those cables and who is not?

No.

Unless you're spying on your neighbours.
In which case you're probably making your neighbours paranoid!

If you're that worried, go recycle your modem!
Maybe, just maybe, you will get redemption for your wrong doings by doing something kind to the planet!

LOL
