Default starview 3 - 1570

Help! I just got a starview 3 box API ver 7.08e and boot ver. 8.0 I have scanned all channels and got list but cannot get into secret menu 1570. any ideas

you need to flash your box with the latest firmware as you only have the Free To Air firmware on your box

Reflash with 7.09e, if that is no good then use 8.00e, you will get them from

am trying to flash the box but keeps failing, got rs232 lead and usb converter lead, device manager shows it on com 3 try about 20 times getting frustrated any ideas where i am going wrong

need to know whats happening when you try, ie what error messages etc.
the rs232 lead needs to be a null modem cable
it would be easier if you could use a computer that doesn't need the USB adaptor
