I'm sory if this is in the wrong place, but, I've read it is possible to use a USB to serial adapter if you don't have a serial port. I was just wondering if this is all you need or would you also need a null modem cable aswell. Thanks for your help.

You'll need a null modem cable aswell you can probably pick one up for a £1

Ok thanks, the only issue is the connection on the dynamite is a female and the null cable is female to female.

hey mate its not a null modem you need its a straight wired rs232 male to female you want mate if cant get a male to female then get what you can and get a gender changer

Im using usb to serial works fine cant use with proggrams like mrom thoe has com 1 and2 and usb to serial uses com 4,but nagra edit is fine and winexplorer with unlooper.

you can just change the com port to 1or2 under device manager to work with mrom.

Iv got a usb to serial and every time i use i have to go to my dads coz hes got a true com pot,is there any thing i can do to make it work om my laptop?rizlaman
