Default Sly Comeing back to *irgin TV 13th nov. & I need some info too.

Hay all,

Ok so I was wondering can the starview box send signals back to the host? So say you was getting N*L Broad band am I right in thinking as long as the cable is active you can crack a starview box on any other boxs on and thay will not know.

allso for them that dont know.

All your favourite Sly channels are coming back to *irgin TV on the 13th of November:

Sly 1, Sly 2, Sly 3, Sly News and Sly Sports News. Plus, we’ve added a few extra: Sly Arts, Sly Arts 2, Sly Real Lives and Sly Real Lives 2.
Regards,

Raster.

as far as i am aware starviews are completly save as they do not have talkback on them. you would only have problems if you have a modded virgin box that has not had the talkback cut.

This is what I thort but still best to ask. What about runing a flashed box if you dont have a *irgin box but you have the broad band so the line is on.

And what about the DBOX2s do thay have talk back?

Raster, the boxes that you know such as Starview, Eurovox, DBox2 etc dont have a talkback function on them. So they will not send any signal back to VM.
Boxes such as the modded NTL/Virgin boxes have a Talkback function. But you should really cut the Talkback tracking on the circuit board in the box. So it prevents talking back to the servers.

Also the answer to your other question, a flashed box is usually the above that i have mentioned. They'l work fine on the line that you recieve your cable broadband on. Just put in a splitter, connect up and scan for channels.
Tis really simple.
Hope this helps

Yes a auto scan will be needed as you don't know the frequencies for a manual scan.

Did a scan for the new channels this morning got Sky 1, Sky News etc but Sky 2 & Sky 3 are missing- any ideas?
At the end of the day its no great hardship if I cant get these two channels via Starview as I can receive them via the V Media box
