i get this message on 3 , its a 3 fone aswell any ideas???

it means the sim hasnt been used within a certain amount of time, so they've de-activated it and probably given the number to someone else

You sure , i bought it from a shop inn high street , i heard that a 3 fone can only take the usim it came with for 12 months unless u get it unlocked?

and if i get it unlocked will i still be able to access the windows live messenger and facebook features built in to the fone under planet 3?

its definately not to do with unlocking

the sim isnt active, i.e. the phone tried to register the sim but the network told it is no longer in use...

you need a new sim imo, could be wrong though
