Take it you put it in the correct way round m8??
Assuming you did.... Then... Sounds like you may have shorted out some of the new chips pins m8. You could be lucky and just unsolder the 2 pins in question, or you may have knackered the new chip. If you have any solder mop, go bk and try and lift off any excess solder that looks like its over two or more pins. Also scratch GENTLY in between all of the new chip legs, just to make sure. Also check any surrounding areas, to make sure you aint dropped any solder next to it. ![]() Regards, Beatbox |

im pretty sure the chips the right way yea, which way should it read?
ive fitted the chip so if i have the scart port etc at the bottom i would have to turn the board 1 turn anti-clockwise to read the code on the chip if you no what i mean? there isnt a pic big enough to see if this is correct? and the chip doesnt have 2 like slot into any holes does it? jus sits on the strips right? pretty sure no solders ran just a little flux |

The no 1 position/leg for the chip, is indicated by a small circle or dot on it...
This must be @ the no 1 position/leg 1 of the PCB's...Check all other chips on the board, and note the marks on the chips, and the mark on the board...That way you can be sure its seated in the correct position (easy mistake 2 make bro). Let me know how you get on ![]() Regards, Beatbox |

Is it in HD mode?
Were you able to get into the EM before you changed the chip? You can change it to SD or use a hdmi cable. |
