Probably a 60cm to give you a decent rain fade margin. You might get away with smaller, but I wouldnt like to guess what the bad weather margin would be.

I can tell you that my Sly dish is not that good in any amount of rain, but I have my Foxsat on my 90Cm dish so can go to it in heavy rain. To be on the safe side I would reccomend that you use a 1Mtr dish, because if you go down the road of motorising your dish, in the future, then you will have a dish that will allow you to receive Thor, except in very heavy rain.
I am between Killarney and Tralee, by the way, so I should imagine that you reception would be something the same as mine. Very best regards Wez

Im a Listowel man myself!
I got the 80cm lidl dish a few weeks ago, nd was going to motorize that and have the minidish fixed on 28E i was thinking after posting this yesterday that i could have a fixed 80cm and a 1 mtr+ motorised but i dont think i can afford it Do you know where i can buy motors in kerry /limerick or cork i was in the place in tralee besides the Bons hospital but they said motors were a waste of time and offered to set up a multi Lnb but i wasent wasting my money for something i can do myself with the help of the guys here I could buy a motor on the internet from the uk which is cheap but after u add E20+ postage it a bit expensive what satelites do you get on your dish? |

Motors are certainly not a waste of time.
![]() Well, you have to wait while the dish moves, but it is the cheapest way to get reception from lots of different satellites. Multi LNB does have its advantages but would cost far more and take up more space.
