FortecStar 4200 Missing Channels

Hi, I just bought and installed a satellite kit including a 60" disc and the FortecStar 4200 reciever. After a lot of fiddling around with a sat finder I managed to get a signal on some of the transponders, enabling me to view a bunch of teleshopping channels and a couple of decent channels including Channel 4 and Film4, however there's no signal on any of the BBC channels, Five, ITV, E4 or any of the other normal Freeview channels.

Is is a case of my satellite being a couple of degrees out or is it something else I'm doing wrong?

HI i have just got the same set up as of yesterday got it up and i have the channels your missing and i am missing the ones you have got have you sorted it ? + have you got a patch for the box yet? if so can you pm me how to get it thanks graham

You will probably have to input the transponder frequencies in manually

If its an old receiver its transponder information probably won't be upto date which is why you won't find all the channels.

You will find all the info you need on the frequencies on _www.lyngsat.com

You will also need to select Network scan if your receiver has that function. This will allow it find other transponders on that satellite
