Under no circumstances should you use your subbed MAC addy - this can be traced back to you, especially if you have just had your subbed modem online. Besides, if you have just unsubscribed to your service then this address will no longer work for you.
As for forcing configs, you do not need anything else apart from access to the Haxorware control page. Once you are on the control page (192.168.100.1) you need to make sure the settings are as follows: Haxorware Settings ---------------------- Configuration: --------------------- Settings- General: Factory Mode - Unticked Disable Firmware Upgrades - Ticked Force Network Access - Ticked Tftp Enforce Bypass - Ticked Disable IP Filters on Startup - Unticked Current IP Filters Status - Optimized Administration: Control Panel IP Address - 192.168.100.1 DHCP Server - Ticked Telnet Server - Unticked Username - Root Password - Admin Frequency Settings: Annex - Both Plan - European Preferred DS Freq 1 - 402750000 (this is for NTL, TW and others are different) 2 and 3 - 0 Upstream channel - dont change (will change on its own) Addresses: HFC MAC - Your Mac Address Ethernet Mac - Dont touch USB MAC - Copy your HFC MAC address, only this time change the last letter/number on it to 1 letter/number higher. Serial Number - Dont Touch Config File: Server IP: Put whatever your server IP address you are using here, you can get it from DHCPforce. Filename: Whastever you wish for your filename to use, if you want to force the 20mb option, then use - cmreg-ntlhm250-bund03.cm for NTL area, once again TW etc will be different. Autoserve Enabled - Unticked Stored cfg/store new config - no need to do anything here. Baseline Privacy: BPI - Disabled Certificate - BPI Public Key All the rest in the Baseline privacy section will not be touched. And that is that, that should be everything done and you should now be able to get online. You should also change your NIC MAC addy using SMAC or similar software which can be download from various places. Last edited by zenr; 08-11-08 at 11:13 AM. |
