Hello guys,
I modded my modem about 18 months and its been working fine all this time. When the CC sent ECM to the modems I changed the serial number and the default password on my Ambit 250 but like a complete prat never made a note of the password. I have a max232 cable and probably all the s/w for the cable modem but I am not quite sure how I can view the username and password. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt reply. As I said previously I have been out of this scene for the past 18 months so not sure if things have changed much since I flashed my modem. I want to make sure I don't undo my flash whats the best program to use to just change the password?

use the `250 configurator` prog, cant go wrong, open up the prog using telenet/ethernet cable, input the existing user /password,cick connect.
when connected put your new user/pass in and click change wait for the modem to reboot then turn power off to the modem for 10 seconds and power up again.
then just check using your new details to log onto the modem again
