hi all ive just brought a tm6900 with a 1m motorized dish and what fun that was settin up but i got there, i got it with high expectations of getting some good channels to watch but so far im not impresed with the channels available most are scrambled ive updated the software (6.63p nov 4th 2008) and put the latest softcams on... i did have a cable box with all available channels and i carnt get anyware near the same channels as i had am i missing somthing or is this the way it is ? i know all cant be done but i dont seem to have anything i did have ... im thinkin of sellin it and goin back to my old setup.. just a l bit of advice to put me on the right tracks

Hi Brad,
Sorry to hear about your problems, but if you got the box with the hope of getting Sly then you have no hope, I am not being nasty, but you would have been better to have stayed with your cable box.

If you got the Tachnomate with the intention of getting Pr*m they have just gone to Nargra3 and NDS, so you are beaten there also.

There are plenty of channels on Thor, which are open and some of them in English, plus football, some games in English.

N3 has been out there for some time now and I am sure that there will be a hack soon.

I am afraid that satellite is not like cable and it requires a lot of work to keep it going and up to date.

I might have got this all wrong, but I do feel that you may have been given the wrong information or were missinformed about what the Technomate would be capable of.

Maybe you just have not updated something in the box, I do not have one so can't say for sure, but you might need to updste the keys in it. The EMUs are useless without keys to make them work.

Hope that you get it sorted out very soon. If you are selling the box just let me know and we might be able to come to some aggrement. but do not be too quick to sell the box, wait till someone else replies to you post, you might have just done something wrong. You should be able to get BBC HD and sveral others, which are FTA.

Yes I'm afraid that the providers have been taking steps to protect their income.

I don't know where you are, but there are a few channels on 26E or 7W worth watching. Or alternatively buy a subscription to DigitAlB on 16E or similar.


Alternatively get a Diablo.


The problem is, that you have been suckered by Sky or Virgin previously, and it is difficult to let go, it will wear off, if you persevere

thx 4 reply wez i know i had no chance at sly but to be honest i was only after the hd and thought i could get the same channels as i had with the added bonus of the hd ... guess not realaty tv i can get a lot of channels 8000 plus but the 1s i watch are scrambled or not in english .. oh well ya live and learn

Hi Brad,
As robbo says hang on in there and you will get used to it. The Diablo cam seems to be opening the Conax channels on Thor, at the moment, but like everything in this hobby, there is never anything that lasts. You pay your money and take your chance.

I got a mail from another froum and in they said tht N3 will soon be broken. There is also some chat that the Conax channels, which the Diablo cam now open, will soon be on some EMU. I am afraid that in this game you need to just wait till things happen.

You will see loads of wonder cards, but be very carefull about them, they are brought out be people who wish to make a killing from them and they never last long, I have never bought one and never will.

hi all thx for all your replys i just found out i carnt get channel 5 so thats the final nail in the coffin for me its gota go to much for me to get me head round back to my cable box i think its more on my level.. plug and play

dont sell it mate hang in there took me months to setup had loads of probs. hd channels on thor 1w are superb and will poss be available on emu soon or get a cam diablo 2.3. get good footy on thor 1w plus films and xxxx if u want it. c5 is fta so u can get it and sly ftv card for 20£ one off payment works in a diablo cam which gets you 4hd.

thx 4 reply ive had loads of emails similar to yours so i took ur advice and took it off ebay (4 now) im looking into the diablo 2.3 ill let u know how i get on, any cheep places to get 1 from ?
