Hi Peoples,

I have just purchased a Starview (The Box Super PVR) and have already been provided with the links so that I can download the software needed etc.

The box hasn't arrived yet, but I just wanted to double check that I will be able to receive the standard sky channels with this box?

Any responses very much appreciated.

with the correct firmware on your box you will get 99% of available channels

Hi,
Have also ordered Starveiw4 Pvr and have not found any firmware to use when its delivered, but i`m sure ill learn to find.
My very first post ,willing to learn all.

Here is every thing you need.

Download the firmware 1.02 beta of you usb stick to the box, by going to usb on the menu page.

Then scan for channel (auto) there are five providers in think, i scanned on TW, when it get to 100%, you will see bbc1 on the screen. press menu, 1570, keycode on (yes) press exit two times will bring you back to bbc1, scroll down to living tv, check for sound, if there is no sound, go back to menu and press 1570 again, keycode off and exit, then back to menu again keycode on and the sound should be on. There is still a problem with the tv listings going off, the only think you can do is turn if off at the back for ten seconds and turn it on again, its a bummer but watchin sly sport makes up for it!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to say, smoggy is the man!!!!!

helped me out with the setup.

Had my box for 4days now and i get 99% of the channels thanks to smoggy, I NEED SOME SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!

Knackered with all this TV

Its a nice quality box, and i am chuffed

i got starview 4 cant get sky 2 and 3 or gold in hampshire dont know frequency for them tho get every other channel
