connected to pc for flashing pressed download and it downloads for 90 secs and says download failed any help would be grateful

been covered a while mate, make sure box has no feed, and on standby and if says failed, just wait, it will come up done

mine does that and 20 secs later is ok

only got box on standby i left it on download has failed for 2 hours and still got nothing

It should tell you version 2 found then you click on start.Hope this helps.I have EX1000sl &have had no problems installing S/w to it.I think its a great box for its simplicity & easy setup

re flashing box done my head in... Any body living local near wolverhampton i'll pay someone to flash 2 eurovox ex1000 for me

Hi

What are you using to flash the receiver?

It is a RS232 Null Modem cable on its own or are you using a USB To RS232 Dongle also?

If using a RS232 Null Modem cable, first ensure that the cable is actually a Null Modem cable. Alot of Eurovox users in the past have purchased cables from computers shop only to find that it is actually a Serial cable.

Next make sure that the RS232 COM Ports on your PC is set between COM1 & COM4. This can be found in Device Manager.

If you are using a USB To RS232 Dongle, make sure that the drivers are installed prior to connecting the Dongle. Also make sure that the COM Port is set between COM1 & COM4. This can be found in Device Manager also.

using null modem cable that came with box and a usb adaptor ...installed driver screen says version 2 detected press start screen says system reset, unplug and replug box , on download section it says 1sec,2sec....90 sec download failed..left it like that for 2 hours and still says download failed...help

have you tried changing your port number, you can use ports 1 to 4.
