Its the cheapest dual tuner PVR on the market, but does have its problems. Its not in the Sly+ box league. You also have to add the HDD to your cost.
Some find it OK for their needs as I said others have problems. Here are a few links to take in some opinions and how to use/update the box: TheBox PVR jumping/sticking on HDD playback help for the box pvr plz the box pvr These are older posts. Since then the main distributor has discontinued this box. They are as you can see still widely available. But the firmware will not be worked on as it is also hardware related. |

If cost is no issue then a Dm7025 (Dreambox). With two cable tuners installed and HDD. Cost may not be an issue but this is an enthusiasts box and requires a decent knowledge in regards to flashing/FTP.
So if you are willing to spend the cash and do the homework its a dual tuner box I would highly recommend. As this is the Starview section thats as far as I can go. But do a search for Dreambox 7025 and you will find all you need. |

No thats about it in that price range. Nearest plug, flash n play box to that would be a single tuner Eurovox EX5000 PVR or the Starview 4.
As they are both single tuner boxes you are restricted. Preference would be for the EX5000, purely on the fact that it has a timer facility and you can watch/record different channels that share the same TP, (frequency). |
