Hi,
I currently have a Surfboard 5101E modem with Infinite Firmware on it.
Id like to have the new Haxorware firmware on it.
Is this possible without using pin headers and all that.
Just a simple connect via ethernet on Hyperterminal.

I dont think its possible just using a ethernet cable, you need a blackcat cable & software.

the cables are easy to make & the software is easy available.

Hmm what do i need to make the cable. I really dont want to buy much. And also im not sure if my modem has a pin header.
I bought it from eBay.

you can make a cable for about a fiver from maplins or buy one from fleebay, and just do a search on here or google on how to flash a 5101E

yes it will but you can get them cheaper try 220307474169
if you have not flashed one b4 you have a lot of reading to do m8 its not a easy task....
