Unhappy a replacement screen for a sony 40"lcd

hi guys n girls just though i would ask is it possabl;e to change the screen on a sony bervia 40" lcd as u have guested me lad attacked it with his football and how much it would cost >?? regards trev

I dont think at the moment its economical to replace screen panels,as far as i am aware its a manufacturers part only, until replacement patern parts become available you may just as well buy a new set,check with a sony repair dealer on price just to see .
Unless you can find one for spares and repair with a good screen and swap your internal boards, its a long shot check ebay etc.
Your set is worth money as spares so dont bin it.

red is totally right my mothers sammy tv screen whent tits up the other day and she was quoted £200 pound more than the brand new equivilant was worth now. evan if it is slightly cheaper which i doubt you would be better of buying new as you will have the warrenty on a new set. does your house insurence cover the damage??? you would be quiet suprised i didnt relize mine did until we checked recently.
