Default simple yes or no answer

ive got a bit of spare time coming up due to having now work..

edit i have already done the stb

i already pay for xl modem and xl tv but im one of them people that likes to take things apart to see how they work!

are the modems still worth doing or are they more trouble than there worth?

I see modems already on ebay that have the correct firmware installed and i dont mind scanning for macs in exchange but how easy is it to get one to initially exchange as i know a few selfish people that get what the mac they need then dissapear?

its the sb5101e im thinking of ?

Yes I think its worth it I have no trouble with mine.

Macs are easy to find with dhcp sniffer or at mac trading sites.

Buy an ambit with haxorware firmware, if you have a working mac you will be up and running in 5 mins.

I have flashed both & I use both, they can be a pain in the a$$ but I think ambits are easier to flash.
