Default Update on possible software update!

Just a heads up and really it makes me laugh...

My mate knew i was off and he was stick on some work so he asked me to go help him on a private job for VM ( moving boxes etc)

Firsty:

The are still installing PACE boxes!!
The 2 I saw still had telewest software and then updated to vm EPG, so I`m guessing if there is ever a update for the macro, we can just pull one of a working box and upgrade sorted!

Second:

We also installed a modem, makes me laugh it was a black abit one which used to be used only in NTL areas, but are now used all over the place. **** in a way as they can only take 37mbs MAX so when the update is done to 50, they will have to swop ALL of them out!

so there my fun update for the day

They won't need to swap out ALL modems surely?
Only those on 20mb who might get upgraded to 50mb would need a new modem.

I wonder if VM will blag some of them by NOT giving a new modem and just letting the customer get 36mb! lol
