Finally got my usb infinity! Help me update my MOSC!

I never had this problem with Nagra or the version of software your using although it is dependant on the Infinity you have and the operating system on your computer, ie some versions work on xp but not vista etc, your CAM ID is what makes your card unique from everybody elses, if your card has been written and the person didnt bother to put you a unique id on it ie he just put 12345678 then odds are there is another card with the same id in your area in which case both cards should of gone down together due to the one id in operation on multiple cards, if you have a progger and the know how to re write your card, write it with your details and flash for your area and then make your own cam id using the numbers under the barcode on your mosc and convert them to hex with windows scientific calculator, also goto tier 8 and check expiry dates, they wanna be something like 399f (this date will leave your card open till 31/12/2020) and both/all tier 8's have to match, also remember if you dont wanna use my nagra date and make your own, that when using the software you have to input it in American so its month first then day then year.

The infinity software version is 2.71. Its the latest one out. Shall I try 2.70? Where can I get this as its not on their site? I'm running xp btw. Also how do I select 98 mode? Do you think this will fix my problem?

thanks for all the info sqwidge, but I've no idea about half the stuff you're on about - tier 8 and stuff. Do I check and amend that in nagra? Does this vary from card type to card type - i.e do I do the same stuff on my mosc and I would if I had a funcard?

I'm completely lost tbh, is there a noob guide or a basic tutorial on how to update a mosc? most of the stuff i've read is about making new funcards or if not I've no idea if the stuff is applicable to me.

Do I just use nagra and therefore need a nagra guide? or are other programs needed?
