Technomate Pricing

Hi all

I heard today that Technomate have again increased their prices and this will need to be past on to customers;

Technomate 5400 CI+ Super new price will be £109.95
Technomate 5300 D+ Super new price will be £89.95

All other Technomates have increased by 26%! This is something that is out of my control, and where possible I try to offer the best prices.

I have 19 Technomate 5400CI+ Supers at the old price as I bought these before the price increase and these are £85.00 each and the 5300D+ £79.00 each

So if you are thinking of buying a Technomate then buy now before the price increase.

Quite interesting. Now that ordinary technomates usability is being restricted by recent `changes` if you know what I mean, the prices are going up.(write up the rest for yourselves)Two options : There is something around the corner in terms of making them usable again or they are trying to cover the losses from a drop in number of sales. Would be silly to assume they are going for the latter (normally you would get rid of stock at any price)

It amazes me how people read things in to my posts! I have explained time again that the wholesale price has been increased by the manufacturer due to the new stock arriving in the UK costing them more because of the falling Pound against the Dollar, as all electrical products bought from S Korea or China are paid for in Dollars, and as such Technomate have had to put up their prices on new stock (other Technomates are yet to increase as there is plenty of stock at Technomate of these). Dreambox increased theirs this week, and any receiver/product sourced from my German distributors will also increase this week if the Euro stays around 1.16 Euros as prices on my website are based on the buying price of 1.25 Euros to the Pound.

Just because Premiere is no longer available does not mean that retailers would want to get rid of stock at any price! as remember other packages are still open. Also cast your mind back to when Technomate launched the 1500, the price of this was £119.00.

Maybe members need to take a look at what is going on in the economy and further afield before making such crask comments?

Ok , don`t get too paranoid as to what I read between the lines, got all my gear from you and if such a need arises I will get some more, I was just pointing at the fact that technomates were popular due to to their usability in a certain way and it is odd to rise the price on something that would not sell anyway.

Not paranoid mate but fed up with doom mongers, who think that now Premiere has gone that the receivers are no longer going to be popular, when these receivers can still get more than many others and also offer great spec for the price.

The price rise has nothing to do with what is or what is not available, you will see all receiver prices increasing.
