Default Pace 4001 Problem.

My pace 4001 wont work now after I disabled TB in the tuner.

It just displays PACE and wont move.

Have I knackered it???

I tried putting solder on where I removed the track to see of that helps, but still nothing.

Do you think if I get a new Tuner cim it will be OK.

That shouldnt have caused that problem, you havnt dislodged the tiny surface mount resistor near to the chip leg ? Try booting up holding the down button in see what happens.

I have now,

I tried to see if I did and while poking at the solder I ripped the resistor.

Could that be the cause????

Is there a solution.

Thanks

I have got a new tuner and I still get the same message!!!!

Why is this happening?

It was working OK, till I messed with the tuner, now even though I got a new one its still stuck on Pace.

It needs caps replacing probably, have a look at the ones at the power supply, or there are a few around the two tuners, the bit you changed is the cim (cable interface module).

I had a look at all the caps on the board and they seem ok.

None of them are bulging or anything.
