Need answers lol ambit 255

Hi guys, can anyone give me the answer to this please
I have a Ambit 250 with infinity software running on it and modem is working great.
I have just brought a Ambit 255 from same fella which is also running infinity software, now here is the question.

Should i be able to put in the same mac address and config file that i have used in my first modem (250) into the 255 that i have just got.

The reason i ask is that although i am putting all same settings as the 250 into the 255, i cant get it to go on the net, it keeps coming up with something like " to join virgin broadband click here"

Now to my mind, with same software, mac, config, both should work on the internet.

I am not trying to run them at the same time, just want to make sure the 255 is ok before it goes to my brothers house.

yip the same mac shoud work ok as long as u and your bro and not on the same UBR gateway u shoud be ok

Thanks matey, i have put all same info into the new 255, removed the 250 off the feed to test the 255, it works but is very slow compared with the 250.
With all the same info, should it not then work at the same speed, if so, it isent lol, it is verrrrry slow indeed.
