Default surfboard gone down

Hi guys had my surfboard up and running for years now but it has given up on me. The lights lightup solid but the online light flashes on and off for a while then it reboots itself . I think it is an issue with getting an IP assigned by the Vista help screens but am unsure.

Any info or advice more than welcome

Thanks in advance

Dave

Does it come up saying there is no ip or similiar?
And is it just pc/activity light that is flashing like now and then?
Cos if it is then your modem might of been hit. If you've had it for a while that is.
Did you change the user and pass for how to login into the modem.
This happend to me about a year ago.
Had my provider fix it for me as it seemed to be me that it happend to first, typical. and he changed the user and pass to login to it.

I myself am having the same issue as of lately and would appreciate any help in this matter especiallly..

I've had my 5100E with Haxorware 1.04 working have had it just under a week, The MAC i used was working for Days until two nights ago it was dropping but Rarely... Once that night, Yesterday it was getting more occasional but now its every 10 seconds i get the Online status on Blink.

I have tried another MAC.. Many others especially wether I use ISP settings or Forced Config i have the same issue (2MB-20mb Business Cfg)

i do have a Password Lock on it with the Port number Modified just in case

Edit:
Forgot to mention i reconnected back on my originally supplied EPC2100R2 on 2mb line and its fully stable

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the replys. I have had it running no problem for years now . I have tried lots of new mac addresses none of which make any difference. I am using a SB4100 so dont think I can use Haxorware as suggested ithink i am using sigma but it has been that lpng since I flashed it that I might be wrong.
Dont know anything about passwords have never entred any passwords.

Any other info or do you think it is time for a new modem ?

Thanks Again

Dave
