Default box stuck on 8888

jus wondering if ne 1 would no y my pace box is stuck on 8888.

for awhile bac it was frezzing an not responding to neting so i tuned it off and just put it bac in the day an its not doing nething ne help is gd help lol thanx in advance

it would help if you could communicate in real english and not gibberish,[try a dictionary lol]
heat the atty,s will solve the box problem,but will not solve your spelling and communication problem lol....

That's not very nice mate,we are not here to judge people on their grammar. Hopefully your idea works for him/her though. I dont know much about this 8888 problem but couldnt a loose SIMM cause this? Open box & make sure the SIMM is securely locked/clipped in,may be give the contacts a clean. Just a idea,thats assuming your box is a 4001, 1000 or 1010 model.

not a rite nice reply to a first post mr perfect you are then and i agree the simm is the most common fault on pace for 8888 if you need anymore help please dont be put off by others ok 00seven

hi 00seven mate, as bramley says dont be put of because of others. If you are not sure where the simm ect is then just asked & someone will point you in the right direction.

You will have to open your box first,you can does this with a 'Torx Securitity t10 Srewdriver' you can get them on ebay if you aint already got one. You can also use pliars to open the box if you want but i find that very anoying

sorry i wasnt intouch. brought the box (di4001n)to the guy who sorts them out for me. he changed the caps on it.and refluxd the attys. so e plugs it on and it all boots up whooooooo. gives me the box and tells me its like brand new again. so i get it home and plug it in works for 15mins and then its freezing the display panel is all scrambled and u cant make nothing out on it. i leave it for a few days put it in an it works for 15mins and so on any help on this would be gr8 thanx all for ur help...

seams like the attys are on a bit wonky..if he has reflowed them tell him to put some new 1s on and test the box before givin it back
