EUROVOX 1000 SL Problem

Hi,

First time poster - great site - got loads of good info from it (but i'm still stuck! lol)

I've had a Eurovox 1000 SL for a few weeks. When I got it it was preloaded with firmware and worked almost perfect except for a couple of channels (as expected). I recently tried a factory reset and re-scan to pick up Sky Sports News, Sky One etc - ever since then i've had problems:

Most Movies and Sports channels work no problem - but most of the freeview channels (i.e. BBC, ITV) flicker and chirp and are unwatchable. Also when scanning it hardly picks up any of the music channels.

The settings are as follows:
Model: DVB-XC BoxSTDA
Software: 1.0 ST4 Aug 22 2008
H/W Version: 2.0tS
Bootstrap: v001
S/W Build: Kuro

I'm also using the correct symbol rate - 6.952 (for ex-Telewest).

Any ideas?! Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to Techwatch
the problems you are experiencing are normally associated with too low or too high a signal.
when on one of the chirping channels press the remote info button twice and see what signal strength and quality you are getting
the norm is around 80% much higher or lower could give problems.

I think there is only the darx v1 s/w for this box.

And just for future reference, when you get a setup of all the channels, you can back it up onto a PC - it's known as a CDF and can be very useful at times like this!
