I have a TV capture card that I bought years ago. It's Jetway 878 and I can select mpeg2 PC all the way up to DVD NTSC or PAL.
You can also use VLC over the network, but have reformatted PC since doing that and I can't recall how, but I've certainly done it.

Right ive tried to follow the tutorial to the letter but when i press record it keeps saying that the folder is write protected and cannot be recorded to. Ive removed any read only attributes from the folder im using on my pc and iv assigned the correct permissions to the folder as well but its still comes up witht the same message . The only differnce between my setup and the one mentioned in the tutorial is that im going through a router but the tutorial mentions a direct connection but ive test the connection . ive pinged the box and test the connection from the box and ive alse used bouquet editor yesterday to organise my channels so i know it connects so im a bit baffled why this would be happening. Any ideas. Whats the most baffling part of it was i pressed the record button when my pc was turned off this morning and even then it came up with the same message which then seems to suggest its not even attempting to make a connection to the pc when its trying to record.Im using Sporster 1.7 UK05
